Studio Rules and Regulations

PARKING:

Please do not park in our neighbors’ parking spaces. You are welcome to park anywhere in the parking lot, Hertz Rental Cars it’s OK. Do not park in designated parking area, such Liquor Store, Restaurants parking lots. We have plenty of parking places available in the back of the Studio. If you decided to park in the back, let us know so we can open the back door.

CELL PHONE USE:

We do not permit the use of cell phones inside the studio. If you need to place a call or send a message during class, you must leave the studio.

CLASSES ATTENDANCE POLICIES:

Classes must have at least 5 participants to conduct classes. Classes under 5 participants will be canceled. Our staff will contact each person who is registered. Please do not be late , as courtesy, we ask you to call our studio 510-222-6300. If we are not available, please leave a message.

REGISTRATION FOR CLASSES:

Con-Sabor-Cubano, Dance and Fitness Studio Online Store & Scheduler - If you see a Class you would like to attend, please register online. If you have any difficulties or can not attend and need to cancel, please call (510)222-6300.

We require everyone to register 2 hours before classes and 2 hours to cancel classes. A fee will apply for late registrations or late cancellations. Thank you. Most instructors at C.S.C.D.F do not live near by, it's important that everyone attending these classes, have courtesy for others to register in advance.

We are not a gym. We are a private studio with policies that are required and full force, to keep everyone happy and content. Our schedule and classes will run successfully. FYI: Every month we like to maintain an easy flow and not too many changes in our schedule. Unfortunately, sometimes we change classes when classes are not successful. We give each NEW class a 30 day window. If NEW classes are struggling we take all the correct measures before we decide to remove class out of the schedule. However, classes are subject to change without any notice.

If you have a reservation for a class, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class. If you do not arrive by the class start time, your spot may be given away to a walk in or standby. If you are running 5-10 minutes late, you may try calling the management to let us know to hold your spot or you’ll need to register for the next class.

TOWELS

We provide small towels for all members to use. You can bring your own towel if you prefer. All participants must have a clean towel for use during the class. Please return towel after use an exchange for your keys.

SHOES / DRESS ATTIRE

Only non-marking athletic shoes are allowed in the studio. Proper workout attire must be worn at all times. (No plastic sweat suits allowed during classes)

WATER / DRINKS

Water and sports drinks are permitted in the studio as long as they are in a re-seal able container.

FOOD / GUM/ LOUD VOICE

No food is allowed in the studio. In addition, gum is not permitted. Please keep your voice down in classes or out on the bench, if you're waiting for the next class.

LOST / STOLEN ITEMS

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Personal items must be stored in the provided cubicles and/or lockers. You will need to bring a small lock with you in order to lock your personal items. Cubicles and/or lockers are for day use only. Any items left behind will be removed and placed in the lost and found bin. We will hold lost items up to ten days.

VALUABLES / PERSONAL PROPERTY

Staff members are not permitted to hold valuables. No personal items are allow in the studio while classes are in session.

EXERCISE EQUIPMENT

Facility hand weights will be provided for appropriate classes and may only be used at the direction of the Group Exercise Instructor. No dropping or banging of weights is allowed. Personal hand weights are not allowed in the studio. Respect for equipment and facilities must be demonstrated at all times. Misuse of equipment and facilities may result in immediate expulsion and/or loss of studio privileges. We ask NOT to use weights in classes that do not contain weights in the format. Unless you have been authorized by instructors or staff.

PHYSICAL CONDITION / INJURY

If you experience light headed, dizziness, nausea, or any other discomfort, please stop your workout and seek immediate attention. In addition, see the appropriate staff member on duty. Report any injury, or facility equipment irregularity to the appropriate staff member on duty. We have a first aid kit and ice available in the office. If you are under a doctor's care. We will need to have a letter release signed by your doctor before you can attend classes. If you have to stop attending classes due to an illness or injury, we will need a doctor's letter, requesting for you not to continue to exercise.

PARTICIPANTS:

You must be 18 years or older unless accompanied by an adult. A parent or guardian must accompany minors attending a teen class and are required to sign a Release of Liability Form prior to participation. We do not allow small children in adult classes. You must be at least 14-16 years old with an adult and guardian in class.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONS:

(Non-Agreement) C.S.C.D.F reserves the right to terminate any membership or usage at any time at its sole discretion for any reason, including (but not limited to):

  • Non-payment of Member account.
  • ii) Failure to comply with C.S.C.D.F’s rules, policies and procedures.
  • iii) Aggressive, disruptive or abusive behavior and comments.
  • iv) Any action that interferes with C.S.C.D.F’s operation or Members’ enjoyment of the facilities.
  • v) Incomplete membership agreement, including but not limited to all necessary signatures, proof of residency and valid payment information.
